The Block at Bankview is a result of close collaboration with the Bankview Community Association. Valuable feedback shared through the community engagement process enabled the project team to narrow in on a housing solution that meets the specific needs within the immediate neighbourhood context. The result was 24 stacked townhome units that conceal 23 at-grade parking stalls. Residences are pushed close to the street with landscaping concentrated within frontages. Beyond grade-level planting, cable trellises accommodate vertical growth of Virginia Creeper and a sedum green roof system is proposed to absorb runoff and provide a habitat for pollinators.
